Briefly

Political Situation

The armed conflicts across the country (Myanmar) are becoming widespread every day after the Burmese military (known as Tatmadaw) seized the power of the country from the elected democratic government in 2021. Due to the heavy armed clashes across the country, there are (1.4) millions of people have been fled their home and become internal displaced people (IDPs). Then, (2401) people have been killed and over (28434) houses have been destroyed and burned down by the member of the military junta according to the data shows from Independence media department during over a year of coup. Currently, the country (Myanmar) is falling into a failure State with various collapse and internal instability.

Furthermore, after over a yearlong of coup, the military junta held 1st of peace talk with some Ethnic Resistance Organization (EROs) in early July 2022. The peace talk was based under the 2008 constitution and it doesn’t seem supportive for the establishment of genuine Federal Union which ethnic people are asking for.  The peace talk is just meant for the military junta to obtain Legitimacy and find political exist during the hardship time of them, and nothing can guarantee for the rights of Ethnic monitories.

On the contrary, the regime still rejects five points consensuses of ARSEAN, United Nation (UN) and international community’s proposal that end violence, and still does more cruel terrorism acts and continues to commit atrocities, including arbitrary torture and killings of civilians, burning people alive, massacres, using civilians detainees as human shields, artillery and aerial bombing on civilians areas, looting and burning houses and acts of sexual violence across the country.

Therefore, as the consequences of the coup, the economic, social and other important sectors have still been collapsing and armed conflict are getting growth. Then, the country (Myanmar) are still sinks into the poverty pit.
